In 2014, the Redwood Library was awarded an Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS): Museums for America grant. With this grant, the Library was able to inventory, catalog, and update PastPerfect (our current collections management software platform) records for over 1,600 items from its collection. These items; which include many of the Library's paitings, works on paper, sculpture, furniture, and decorative arts were previously accessible only by staff through an Access database. Now, as a result of this grant project, the Library is able publish these records (many with images of the items themselves) to the website. Staff, members, and researchers everywhere now have the opportunity to uncover what treasures can be found within the Library's collections.
