May 8 at 6:00: Music at Redwood presents the Amari String Quartet with pianist Dawn Chung, featuring Redwood's own Mary Spotts on violin. Harrison Room. Open to the public, $10 donation requested for non-members.

May 10 at 2:00: American Girl Tea Party. Dress up in a hat and tea attire (optional), bring your American Girl doll, and come to the Redwood with your Mom or a special person and learn about the historic American Girl heritage dolls. If you don't have one, we'll have some here. Ages 8 and up. Free for members, $10 mother-daughter non-member donation requested.

May 13th from 9-5: Bus trip to Providence for an 18th century house tour and lunch. Included will be the John Brown House, the Nightingale Brown House, Gov. Stephen Hopkins house, lunch at the Hope Club (choice of entree), and the First Baptist Meeting House. Champagne treat in the afternoon.. $95 for members, $115 for non-members, includes bus and lunch. Reservations required: contact Jan Gordon 847-0295 x115.
May 15 at 6:00: The Redwood Library L. Eugene Rankin Mystery Lecture welcomes a panel of experienced mystery writers to discuss mystery writing, the art of the mystery, and the difference between mysteries and thrillers. Panelists include Sam Coale (author of Mystery of Mysteries), Jon Land (author of 25 thrillers) and Vincent O'Neil (author of 3 mysteries). Open to the public and free of charge.
May 22 at 6:00: Malcolm Greenaway presents Block Island. Book lecture and signing. Harrison Room. Free and open to the public.

May 26 - Memorial Day, Library closed.
May 29 at 6:00: Dr. Will Swift discusses his new book, The Kennedys: Amidst the Gathering Storm, A Thousand Days in London 1938-1940. Harrison Room. Free and open to the public.
May 31 from 5:00 until 7:00: Opening reception for Art as Book as Art in the Van Alen Gallery and Rovensky Room Display Cases. Open to the public and free of charge.

June 5 at 6:00: David Kaiser discusses and signs his new book, The Road to Dallas: The Assassination of John F. Kennedy. Open to the public and free of charge.
June 12 at 6:00: Redwood's Cartography Cartel presents Joseph Garver, Harvard Map Collection. Open to the public and free of charge.

June 22 at 2:30: Music at Redwood presents I Heung Lee, classical pianist. Open to the public, $10 non-member donation requested.
June 26 at 6:00: Diana Balmori , founder of the landscape design firm Balmori Associates and internationally recognized landscape and urban designer, discusses landscape design. Open to the public and free of charge.
June 27: American Red Cross Babysitter Certification class. Ages 11-15, boys and girls, learn basic child care and safety to enhance their babysitting skills. Six hour class from 10-4, bring bag lunch. $40 registration, members and non-members. By reservation only: 847-0295 x 105.
